Hacking your Clubhouse profile begins with a tap on your profile icon.

Your Clubhouse Profile is your custom gateway to finding great people who are hosting high quality panel discussions.

Customizing your Clubhouse Profile will connect you with the best people, rooms, clubs and discussions on Clubhouse.

Clubhouse app: Credentials section of profile screen

Set up properly, your clubhouse profile will connect you with the best virtual conferences on Clubhouse, and also steer you away from the Ponzi schemers, ‘7-figure’ money gurus, Growth hackers, trolls, ‘mindset coaches.’ predators, and other low-quality Clubhouse users.

Five power tips for hacking your Clubhouse profile.

  1. Focus on first two lines
  2. Use Emojis
  3. Use bold and italic text
  4. Hack your profile photo
  5. AICDA Sequence

The first two lines of your Clubhouse profile

A Clubhouse profile can contain a lot of details that will improve your time spent, and the Number One Tip is to understand that when other people view you, or your profile in the app, they will see the first two lines of your profile.

Write these first two lines to be clear and on-point about who you are and what value your bring.

This is how I appear in a typical club member list on the Clubhouse app.

Notice how my two-line summary bio contrasts with other users who have not focused on this aspect of the app.

What is about my bio that sticks out other than the words I used?

The first thing is the use of Emoji characters.

Emojis are searchable in Clubhouse app

The emojis I chose in the first two lines of my Clubhouse profile represent Filmmaking and Broadcast Television.

People will search by emojis in the Clubhouse app to find others who use the same images like this. They will also search to find clubs and rooms that use them.

Emojis are an easy way to power-up your profile to help you be found and to find people you want to network with. They also work as icons and glyphs always work with formatted text – as visual punctuation. Used properly, these can make your profile memorable. (Also if used improperly, I might add.)

The second hack you see in my Clubhouse profile is the use of bold and italic text in key places.

I use italic text for my book titles, because that is the correct text style to use for the names of publications.

Use bold and italic text in your Clubhouse profile.

Used sparingly in a profile, bold and italic text styles add emphasis and proper notation for elements of your profile.

By default, Clubhouse will not let you make any word bold or italic, so if you are the author of three books and want those publications to appear in italic type, you will need to install a keyboard on your iPhone or iPad that includes those characters.

I found a free “Fonts app” installed a bold and italic keyboard on my iPhone and I can switch to it when entering text that should be bold or italic.

The next hack you may have notice was my profile photo

Hack your Clubhouse Profile photo

I chose this photo of me (taken the White Desert of Egypt) because of the clean and clear background as well as lighting and pose I had struck.

It is easy to extend your background to a solid color using an app like Photoshop.

Write your Clubhouse Profile using the AICDA Sequence

This is a tip I have learned by being an online course creator and having to write the sales landing pages for my training courses.

There is a useful model to adopt called the AICDA sequence for your copy blocks.

A = ATTENTION
I = INTEREST
C = CREDENTIALS
D = DESIRE
A = ACTION

Look at the complete flow of copy blocks in my Clubhouse profile below and see how it follows this pattern.

At the bottom of the screen are links to my Twitter and Instagram accounts and visual of my Web site address.

That section is the A section. The ‘Call to Action’ copy block where an interested viewer of my profile can connect with me outside of clubhouse.
